Production of Monoclonal antibody on White Spot Syndrome Virus(WSSV)

Abstract

|
|
White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) is one of the important viral agent in shrimp. Since 1993 the incidence of WSSV has been reported throughout the world, causing the great economic losses in aquaculture industry. In this study, the monoclonal antibodies on WSSV were derived by cell fusion and characterized by Western blotting. In Western blotting, one monoclonal antibody reacted only to the 28-30 kDa (M.W) of protein band with WSSV infected specimens, confirming the specificity of the antibody.
